A really popular shape and style of float that has loads of uses, especially for fishing on the drop and through the water with baits like maggots, casters, squatts, pinkies and hemp. The bristle on this float is probably its biggest edge against all others, as it features a pure cane tip. When fishing ‘through the water’ and ‘on the drop’, cane offers amazing presentation and bait support, and can be very easily shotted , especially when dotting a float right down to a pimple.
When fishing in the upper layers it also supports baits suspended off the bottom very well, a superb float for fishing casters in the upper layers of the water. The slim body combined with a thin carbon stem is perfect for fishing on the drop, with the float smoothly following the shot and rig down through the water, also offering very little resistance to a taking fish and providing a clean strike out of the water.
The versatility of this pattern really is endless, and while it is perfect for use on canals and rivers with slow falling rigs, its equally at home when loose feeding casters or maggots on commercials for silvers, and even for fishing natural baits for F1s too.
